Our Holiday So Far...

Hello guys, hope you are all doing well and having a great week :-) I thought I'd pop in and say a quick hello with an update on my holiday so far, we are having a great time in Brighton despite the less than stellar weather!

We travelled down south from the North East on Friday to stay with our friends Alan and Alex. We took the train into Cambridge, its a lovely city! We bought some coconut, mint and peanut butter M&Ms and Reece's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups as well as some of the most amazing Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Fudge!

On Sunday we headed down to Brighton and got caught in the rain, that called for pub grub (fruity cider and a roast veggie pie with all the trimmings), an open fire to get warmed up and lots of coffee.
On Monday we called up to Lewes so James could visit a record store, we had some coffee and then came back to Brighton. Despite the cooler weather I couldn't resist a huge frozen yoghurt with Oreo topping and some cupcakes for later. I did have something healthy in the form of a big salad platter for lunch.
Yesterday we took the train up to London for some lunch and a bit of shopping. I indulged in a chocolate almond croissant at Costa and of course we visited the Wholefoods at Piccadilly where I got a Coconut Water Latte (amongst other things!) - I've also found them in a store in Brighton so I'm slightly obsessed! We had a lovely lunch in London but I will blog more on that soon!

Other indulgences have included chips with bread and butter, a four cheese pizza and beer :-)

Of course no trip to Brighton would be complete without seeing one of my favourite blogger best mates, Tam! We took a Bikram yoga class together which was awesome as usual, was so lovely to see Tam again :-)

So I'm really looking forward to the rest of our holiday, it has been so restful and relaxing - just what I've needed! As you can see from the pics above I have definitely indulged in quite a lot of unhealthy food but I have to remind myself that I am on holiday and never eat this way normally - I believe its good for the soul to eat like this sometimes! Plus you can't go to Brighton and not have some proper chips! I am very much enjoying the naughtier treats but looking forward to eating a bit more healthily when I get back.

How is everyone? What is your favourite treat food? I have to say that pizza will take some beating but I am planning on trying some gelato later in the week! Catch you all again soon!
